The E46 M3 is a splendid car. But it's just too easy to get buttloads of power out of the B5 S4. Counter that with AWD and it's easily a better all around car. There are so many B5's with RS4 turbos running around (~400 awhp) as well. It's a community similar to the Z32 community. If you prefer a car similar to the Z32, but with the German feel, 4 doors, AWD, and 6-speed, there's only one option. The E46 got me bored in about 2 weeks.
